Show PROGRAM OF ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION FOR AN AUDITORIUM BUILDING FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH The Board of Regents of the University of Utah proposes to erect an auditorium building on the campus of the University. It is the desire of the Board of Regents to build a building which will be in harmony with the better types of buildings now on the campus, and this competition has been arranged in order to select an architect for this project. In conducting this competition, the Board of Regents is following a well recognized method of procedure, and is being guided by the recommendation of the American Institute of Architects as outlined in the "Standard Form of Competition Program." ' The Competition will be limited in scope, to include only resident and licensed architects of good standing as _.gi.November 1, 1927, in the State of Utah. Architects wishing to submit designs under this arrangement and in {Accordance with the program shall file their acceptance on or before February 1, 1928. m ‘ The four best designs as selected by the Jury shall be awarded prizes, but no compensation other than the opportunity to win one of the prizes shall be available to other competitors. , The Competitor whose design is placed first shall receive the commission to design, plan and supervise the construction of the building. Complete preliminary plans are then to be developed in accordance with the plan submitted with the required changes incorporated therein for the Owner's approval. The Architect shall prepare other preliminary studies necessary for the development of the problem, and for which no additional expense shall be incurred by‘ the Owner.
