Show 417 Devil River R. 1062. 1064. On this trip supplies carried in the boat and were purchased along the route at Jensen, Ouray, and the Greeriver, Utah. Between Greenriver, Utah, and the Dirty Devil, there is no place where supplies can be obtained, so that sufficient supplies were taken at Greenriver, Utah, to last the entire trip down to the Dirty Devil. Upon reaching the Dirty Devil he hired a man to take him out with a pack outfit and returned to Greenriver, Utah, leaving the boat at the mouth of the Dirty Devil River. On the entire trip between Green River, Wyoming, and the mouth of the Dirty Devil he did not see anyone engaged in boating on the rivers. R. 1065- 1066. " Q. Since you have known the Green River, have you ever seen any boats engaged in carrying freight and passengers? " A. No sir, I have not." R. 1066 The trip from Green River, Wyoming, to the mouth of the Freemont River was made in the month of September. The trip he made from Greenriver, Utah, to North Wash, where he built a boat, was made in March or April of 1927. His third trip was made in 1924 with his brother, and was commenced at Greenriver, Utah, and ended at Glen Canyon, being made by way of the rivers. |
