Show 412 " Q. Then, as I understand you, the sand bars are not the same place every day on these rivers? " A. Oh, no, they are not. I don't mean by that there is not sandbars that are pretty near permanent river bed; I don't mean that; but I do mean, in conditions of raising and lowering of water, it will change the current on most any sandy formation of the river." R. 1056. After he finished trapping for the winter, he left the boat again at Lockhart and took the Moab Garage boat back to Moab and then went home, leaving sometime in the latter part of March. R. 1056. In going back up the river on the Moab Garage boat he doesn't recollect having any serious trouble, although the boat was stuck on sand bars many times for several minutes at the time. He has made three trips from Greenriver down the Green River to its junction with the Colorado but has never made any trips up the Green River. His first trip down the Green River was made probably in 1911, the second trip in the spring of 1926, and the third trip in the fall of 1927. River conditions were not the same on these trips.
