Be supplies were taken up, we unloaded Chenoewith's [ sic Chenoweth's] surplus so he could take it up by wagon, so Wimmer could take out certain surplus supplies that Chenoewith [ sic Chenoweth] didn't want to be bothered with." R. 847- 848.( Note: Motion to strike R. Vol. 5- p. 848, Affirmed R. Vol. 5- p. 848) The mouth of the San Juan River was reached October 5th at 2: 30, where Trimble's party was found. One boat with supplies was left there with Mr. Trimble's party and he [ Kolb] with the balance then proceeded on down to Lea's Ferry. Those accompanying him were Mr. Page, Mr. Miser, who joined the party at the mouth of the San Juan, and Mr. LaRue. One of the boats had formerly been left with M. Chenoweth at Hall's Crossing. Fifteen hundred pounds of supplies were hauled on the two boats from Hall's Crossing to the mouth of the San Juan. R. 848- 850 Trouble with sand bars was encountered on the trip between Hall's Crossing and the mouth of the San Juan and the boats would anomalous have to be pushed off the sand bars and the boatmen took turn in getting out of the boats in to the water and pushing them free.
