Show changes in the pilgrimage route. 252 Earl Piatt Earl Piatt is a large landholder, whose ranch encompasses land to the north of Saint Johns, Arizona. He has been politically active in the community and reportedly fought a public campaign to have the Navajo Reservation separated jurisdictionally from Apache County. 253 Earl Piatt leases from Arizona state or from the BLM eleven sections or portions of sections that are crossed by the Kolhu/wala:wa trail. He owns twelve sections that are crossed by the trail, making a total of twenty-three sections owned or leased by Piatt through which the trail crosses. 254 At an Apache County 252. Piatt, H. None of the Zunis interviewed who participated in the 1985 pilgrimage said that beer was consumed and field examination of the route and all of the campsites revealed that although many other types of cans were found at the camping spots and the lunch spot, no beer cans were apparent. One Zuni who did not participate said he had heard a rumor of some Zunis drinking beer in the evening at one of the campsites, but this rumor was not verified.
