| Further Information |
In this letter to Sheldon Jackson, C. L. Thompson informs him a proposition has been made by Mrs. Thaw to the Woman's Board and its Collegiate Institute of Salt Lake City, Utah, and that the Woman's Board has refused the proposition. C. L. Thompson then lists the reasons of refusal. Mrs. Thaw wishes to buy the Collegiate Institute and then give it to the Sheldon Jackson College of Salt Lake City; however, the Woman's Board has already proposed to give the Collegiate Institute to Sheldon Jackson College free of charge with certain conditions, and further finds the offered sum to be too small. |
