Sweazey<br> Salt Lake City, <br><br> Dear Sir - <br><br> You may, perhaps, think it is a little strange for me to write to you but I wish to thank you for the kindness you showed toward me while in Salt Lake. <br><br> When I left for home I met a friend from home (Julius Johanssen) who told me that there was no work there so I wrote you a note explaining where I had gone and why and gave it to the baggage man to post for me. I just got a letter from mother stating that she got a letter in which you ask her where I was so I suppose you did not get the note I sent you. I am working about three miles from town and have a good position on a ranch. I have saved about $30.00 since I came here and exspect [sic] to earn enough this summer to take me <br> [Continues on next page.] <br><br> |
