Now, the substance of the whole matter is this: The Board is anxious that the College and the Collegiate Institute shall be on the same property and closely related. The question arises, now, as to whether the trustees of Westminster College can comply with the requirements of Col. Ferry, and thus secure title to the property. If such a thing should occur as that they would fail, it would be a serious problem with the Board whether the removal of the Collegiate Institute to the proposed site would be wise. What we would like to know from you is - after you have investigated the location - whether there is sufficient land to be secured for the use of the Collegiate Institute in the future, in case such a contingency as indicated above should arise, and the Collegiate Institute see fit to stand alone in Salt Lake City. <br><br> Practically we have no option in the matter just now, and must necessarily wait until the whole question of title to the college campus is settled before we can negotiate the sale of our property or decide to remove anywhere. <br><br> May I hear from you on all of these questions? <br><br> Very sincerely yours, <br><br> Geo.
