Show of his college course. I have written to Mr. Freece to open a correspondence with you at once, and have explained the work to him as well as I can.

President McAfee has also spoken so highly in his letter of Albert C. Holt of Parkville, Mo. that I have decided to send you a copy of his papers. He, you will note, has Greek very strong and has all the sciences underscored, making biology perhaps his second choice. Mr. Holt has been taking special work in sciences during the last two years and is an all-around good man. He has been manager of the glee club, President McAfee writes, and has made a success of the work. He closes his letter about Holt as follows: "He is a genuine Christian boy, and I believe will make his mark as a teacher." I would further call your attention to the fact that Mr. Holt is twenty three years of age, five feet ten, and is interested in base ball and athletic work.

I note that he has been attending the Presbyterian church but that his church relationship is with the Methodists. I presume that he would in all probability be willing to take a letter out in your church.

These two men, Holt and Freece come from the same college from which S. Herbert Anderson, who I think is still with you, graduated.

Yours truly,

B.F. Clark

|
