My dear Wendell: I was very glad to receive your kind letter of May H which arrived here yesterday with the good news that you will be visiting Cairo in the near future. I am writing back immediately in the hope that tills will reach you before your flight eastwards. First of all, let ae congratulate you for the new honour which has been £eof*«tatf upon you by the University of Redlands in California. I have no doubt that many others will follow and that you have more than earned them by your great services. I shall look forward to receiving your cable, and I shall be happy to meet you on your way out to Southern Araoia. I need not go into any information now until we meet again shortly. In the meantime, I seize this opportunity to ask you whether Eileen has already sent the two volumes which I mentioned in my letter of March 26, If she has not, perhaps you could bring them over with you.
