Show fur les Sciences. 35 Des Ventricules du Cœur. * Les Ventricules du Cœur, font des Cavï-tcz conftderabîes , qui fe trouvent dans le Cœur, & qui fe remplirent & fe vuident de Sang dans tous fesbattemens. Pouf les mieux distinguer, on appelle l'un le Ventricule droite gc l'autre le Ventricule gauche. Le Ventricule droit eft couvert d'une Chair aflez molle 6c mince $ 8c fa Cavité ne defcend pas jufqu'à la pointe du Cœur. Le Ventricule gauche eft rcveftu d'une Chair beaucoup plus dure 8c plus épaiffe ; & Ta Cavi-tédefeend jufqu'à la pointe du Cœur. De forte que le Ventricule droit eft plus large que le gauche j 8c le gauche en récompense eft plus long que le droit. Tout cela eft parfaitement exprimé dans la première Figure. Du Septum Médium. 1 Le Sefturn Médium eft une Chair dure 8c épaifle, qui fert comme de Cloifon , pour fe-parer les deux Ventricules du Cœur, Se pour empefeher que le Sang qui eft contenu dans l'un, ne puiffe paffer dans l'autre. Quelques Auteurs ont conjecture ^ue cette Cloifon Mitoyenne devait eftre percée d'une infinité de petits trous, pour faire paffer le Sang du Ventricule droit dans le gauche.
