We admit that it is not all that it should be, or that the name implies, but we have done our best and have no apologies to offer. Considering the limited time and the conditions under which we must needs work, we recognized from the beginning that all we desired could not be attained. Yet, convinced that we were making a start in the right direction, we determined to brave criticism, snap tradition's bonds and strike out into a new and hitherto untrodden path.Moreover, we saw so much around us about which to write, think and even be proud of, that" we could not resist the temptation. The idea of letting this great year in the history of the University pass away without leaving behind something tangible, something giving in detail its achievements, and glorious triumphs, was to us preposterous. For this year has been a glorious one, full of events to which we University students will ever look back with pride, as will others who follow in our tracks, and year after year carry out the same functions which we have inaugurated, until they become traditions-tradi- |
