Communications 2. Promotion 3. Instructor training What has been done? A Ne\;Jsletter has been established. 1'1echanics for hiring a paid executive secretary have been set up, and a record of costs and time involved has been compiled. Promotion of I.S.I.A. both to its members and to the skiing puhlic has been investigated by various methods. A realistic plan for introducing I.S.I.A. to apprentice instruction that LS more equitable to the certified instructor has been devised. A further investigation of clinic procedures has been made and your desires for information and training will be fullfilled as completely as is reasonably possible at regional clinics, annual clinics and examiners clinics. President Lorenz asked Secretary Clark Parkinson to read the minutes of the last Annual Meeting. MSC: That the minutes be accepted as mailed. (Parkinson-Roche) President's report: - See Appendix A. MSC: That we accept the President's report as read. (Dean-Pond) Secretary's Report - See Appendix B. Treasurer's Report - See Appendix C. Clinic Committee Report - See Appendix D. Certification Committee Report - Chairman, Woody Anderson: Mr. Anderson gave the following statistics for I.S.I.A.: 17 Examinations given. 151 Candidates 18 passing for full 43 passing for associate 27 stayed associate 63 failed 40% passing. The comparison to the rest of the divisions was discussed. Mr. Anderson thanked the Certification Committee for its help. Promotion of I.S.I.A. both to its members and to the skiing public has been investigated by various methods. A realistic plan for introducing I.S.I.A. to apprentice instruction that is more equitable to the certified instructor has been devised. A further investigation of clinic procedures has been made and your desires for information and training will be fullfilled as completely as is reasonably possible at regional clinics, annual clinics and examiners clinics. These foundations have been laid. There are changes and refinements in the future to design a more efficient association. As you know, you can't please all of the people all of the time. To even attempt to is not practical. Your office~s and Board of Directors have made an honest effort to satisfy your desires without loosing sight of the ultimate association obligation. That obligation-we have to present the best possible standard of ski instruction to the public. Your Officers and Board of Directors have done an excellent job this past year.
