And! had always- when my parents were alive, I always discussed everything - My mother said,"GH, you serve the community in other ways. Don't do that. " And! waas so glad to have her tell me that. And evidently, they were having alittle problem getting some new women. And so from the~lpit one day, he said, "You know, sme of the women th~k'•ve approached for that, they say they're afraid. They dont want to do it because they're afraid." He says, "If you women are not afraid of women when their mouths are going, you certianly shouldn't be afraid of them when they can't move their mouths." [Chuckles] Oh, he always spoke on Rosh Hashanah how important it was to have a new dress or have a new--some new thing to wear. And his family - Do you know, his wife didn't last too long after he died. She moved back. He was from Chicago. As my husband told you, as soon as my son got engaged, this Cleveland girl. This is the first thing he said, "I want Rabbi Cardin to marry me." He knew the wedding would be in Cleveland. Andhe did. He flew over At night. On a Saturday night. At aht time, they did-'t call it the red eye. but he took a midnight plane out of here. My son went to the airport. I think he had to get him at 6 in the morning. The day of his wedding. He had to pick him up. He wouldn't have it any other way. and drive hi.m to the hotel. And he officiated at their wedding ceremony in Cleveland. And his wife - his wife would go visit and I used to always, oh, yes, Xe'd have him here
