Show Radim Zenkl returns His first appearance in SLC awed a lucky few-get set again June 11-12 Radim Zenkl is a virtuoso mandolinist who made his first appearance in Salt Lake City in 1992. lAMA is delighted to announce his return for a concert June 11 and workshop June 12, 1993. Zenkl defected from CZechoslovakia to the United States in 1989--certainly our gain. His credits are manyincluding first place at Walnut Valley in 1992, with a standing ovation. His repertoire is amazing, ranging from classical to bluegrass to arrangements of traditional Czechoslovakian songs to jazz. His styles include plectrum, slide, bowing, hammering, fingerpicking, clawhamer, raga and ... Those who had the pleasure of attending Radim's concert last year speak only in superlatives. His musical career started with piano, then voice, followed by classical guitar and mandolin.
