Pucci (b. 1898) was born in Italy. He came to this country in 1915 to work on the Southern Pacific railroad. He talks about section men and section houses, train accidents, Italians in Ogden, the Promontory station, the Lucin Cutoff, Italian social life, and a trip back to Italy. Interviewed by Greg Thompson and Phil Notarianni. 42 pages. |

Show -13- PUCCI and I used to go around the cour1lry in that car and I 1 d come into Corinne and in fact, the foreman that, he was in Corinne, that he was a very gpod friend of mine and him and his wife, see, and we used to come over oh, maybe every other Sunday or something like that, you know, to see them, and I used to go to that country quite often. N: Who was the foreman at Corinne? P: It was a fellow by the name of ••• the one I remember is a fellow by the name of Rico Cortopassi, Enrico Cortopassio N: Cortopassi. P: Enrico. T: Did you ever know Mr • . Yagi? P: You bet l did. T: Was he ever a section foreman when you recall there? P: By golly, I don't know, but I think he was a section foreman over around Kelton. T: Around Kelton? N: Yes, that's where Pablo worked out of. T: Would this have been a little later time than when Mr. Pacci was ••• or about the same time would you say? P: About the same time.
