Pucci (b. 1898) was born in Italy. He came to this country in 1915 to work on the Southern Pacific railroad. He talks about section men and section houses, train accidents, Italians in Ogden, the Promontory station, the Lucin Cutoff, Italian social life, and a trip back to Italy. Interviewed by Greg Thompson and Phil Notarianni. 42 pages. |

They had a little passenger train daily except for Sunday. T: I see, and where .•• P: It would go as far as Malad and come back the same day. T: I see, wow, up and back to Malad tre same day. P: Yes sir, yes sir. T: And it went through ••• did it go aver the Sourthern Pacific line? P: What do you mean? T: How did it ••• what was it's route? Did it go from Brigham City or Corinne north? P: No, it go from Brigham City through Corinne and then from there branch off and go, I'd have to say north, yes, let us say north. T: Up into Idaho? · P: Yes, up into Idaho. T: Okay, I see. P: But they used to go, like I say, as far as Malad and then come back the same day.
