Note |
The University of Utah has made former and current yearbooks from various campus entities available in print and via its digital library archive. These documents contain facts and milestones about the history of the University of Utah. In some cases, these publications contain insensitive and offensive language and imagery that does not represent the views or values of the University of Utah. Insensitive and offensive portrayals of race and gender were wrong at the time these publications were originally printed, and they are wrong today. The yearbooks are presented as they were originally created and have not been edited or censored-to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices and biases never existed. - July 2019 |

Show if ml School of Commerce and Finance *T*.O meet the growing demand for business training, since we are essentially a business nation, a very large proportion of our population being engaged in business enterprises, the day has arrived when we must help equip young men and women with an education that will better fit them for the duties they are obliged to perform. Our population is shifting very fast in its endeavor to obtain a livelihood, and our education must keep pace if we are going to be of the best service to our country. The business and commercial pursuits are increasing faster than any of the other gainful occupations, and therefore it becomes necessary to give the commercial leaders of the future a wide and deep training not in the special subjects with which they will have to deal later. Utah's development demands the services of men trained broadly and wisely for great business undertakings in order to utilize the opportunities of the state. The man who is properly trained in modern business will within a few years become the commercial leader. The School of Commerce and Finance has been organized for the purpose of training leaders in commercial enterprises and business activities. ¦i tti m i jut i unit t mi i Wff.'VLrt.fT, ft «« *\ ax-mas; i ka /.an. hi /\ m i r,-xtrtfr-rrT-?-f.~in;iJm i ^.rr^r^rnTTTnrrrnif i imjj-lj Page Twenty-Seven |
