INSTITUTES. Under the authority of the Secretary of the Interior were held last year a local institute on the Standing Rock Reservation, N. Dak., a number of district meetings on the Pine Ridge and the Rosebud reservations in South Dakota, and the general institute at Cleve-land, Ohio. The general institute was held coincidently .wibh the annual con- I vention of the National Educational Association, at which every I h h of educational work was discussed; and the Indian school service will be greatly benefited through the opportunity thus |
