The melody progresses chiefly by whole tones, which constitute two- thirds of the intervals. The song is melodic in structure and contains all the tones of the octave except the seventh. No. 84. Drum and voice have the same time unit and are synchronous. The song is peculiar in that the only progressions are fifths, fourths, and semitones, and also in that the ascending and descending progressions are almost equal in number.
