Turkey Dance Song ( c) ( Catalogue No. 741) Recorded by SINGER NO. 6 VOICB J = 96 DRUM J - 96 • Drum- rhythm similar to No. 80 Analysis.- The downward trend of this song, following the intervals of the tonic chord, is emphasized by a glissando of the voice, indicated in the transcription. The melody contains only the tones of the major triad and second. It has a compass of 11 tones and a majority of the progressions are minor thirds. No ascending progressions occur between accented tones. ( See plot, fig. 4.) Repetitions of the rhythmic unit comprise the entire melody except the closing measures. No. 88.
