Title Diary of Brigham Young, page xvii
Description tion of the broken binding, the book is in a good state of preservation. There are no torn pages and only a few smudges in `the writing. There are certain peculiarities about it, however. Obviously the diary had been in the possession of someone who did not recognize nor value it for what it is-a significant historical document. This is attested to by the fact that the endpapers have been used to keep score of what appears to be a baseball game. Names of various California cities are written opposite nine crudely lined spaces. A series of zero entries indicates that the scoring was not heavy through four innings in at least one game. Other tabulations show the "won-lost" record of the various teams and their winning percentage. Scribbled notes on endpapers of the diary.
