The following taule will show, at a glance, the distance, expense, and time, occupied in travelling from Cincinnati to the most prominent poi 11 t::: in the UHion. Allowance, however, must be made in the rate of fares, when travelling in steamboats, upon lakes or ri vcrs, as those modes of conveyance are subject to more or less competition, in which case the fares vary. Those gi vcn, however, are as accurate as call be obtained uucler the circumstances, and will, no doubt, be found ncar e nough to make up a general estimate of expeHses. The time given is that which is actually occupied in passing from one point to another; 1 he detentions between each route are not taken into consideration, as these the tra veiJer must determine for himself.
