Lt., from thr. \Vest, may talu~ this route to Boston. and to places in Con· uecticut and Rhode Island, &c. §The CAYUGA AND SusQUEHANNA R. R. diverges here, and extends to Ithaca. 29 miles, at which place it conuects, by steamboat, with Cayuga Bridge, where it unites with the Albany and Bufl~do route. II The CnEMUNG R. R. diverges here, and runs to Jefferson. at the heart of Seneca Lake, 2l m i Jes. Passengers, by taking this routr., may rea ch Geneva, Roches ter, Buffalo, NiJ.gara Falls, and the West. 4fT The CoRNlNG AND BLossnnRG R. R. extends from this plaee to Blossburg, Pa., 40 miles. A rail-road is about to he constructed from Corning to CanaudaigiHL; the latter place being on the I i ne of tlle AI bany ann llu.tfalo route. **The ATTICA AND HoRNELLSVILLE R. R. is now being constructed from this place to iutersec t the Albany and Buffalo road at Attica. When this connection is completed, both the time and distance between N. York and Buffalo will be much reduced. tt From Dunkirk a line of railroa:. ls i::s being constructed along the south shore of Lake Erie, to unite wi tit the .JJ-lichignn Southern Railroad, leading to Chicago, and thence to Galena.
