U The uest route, at present, between Philadelphia and Cleveland, ia by the way of New York City and the New York awl Brie R. R. to Dunkirk, thence, by steamboat, to Cleveland. In the spring of 1852, a direct railroad route is to be opened through from Philadelphia to CleveJaud, via Pittsburg, (4D3 miles,) which will greatly reduce both time and distance between Philadelphia, and Lake Erie, Detroit, Chicago, and the North-West. 4fT From Philadelphia to Pittsburg, by railroad and stage,· from Pittsburg to Wheeling, by steamboat on the Ohio River; from Wheeling to Columbus, uy stage; and from Columbus to Cincinnati, uy railroad.
