GEORGE - DeMont Excell. age 79. passed away Thanksgiv i ng Day. November 23. 2006. surrounded by his children and grandchildren . He was born July 24. 1927 in Panguitch. Utah. to Dewey and Ethel Bolton ExcelL He married Wlldeane Langston June 26. 1954 in Fredonia. AZ.. They became the parents of lour children; Rick. Danny. Ronnie and June. DeMont attended school In Springdale and Hurricane. UT. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he learned his culinary skills. He later was a chef at the Driftwood. Bumbleberry and Pioneer Restaurants in Springdale. UT. DeMont was also a rock mason. and did a lot of beautiful rock work In southern Utah and Arizona. Additionally. DeMont worked at Zion National Park for many years. He raised pigs on a pig farm. and had a large ·collection" .of pigs which he loved. and the family was always adding to. DeMont was also an avid gardener. DeMont is survived by his wife Wildeane of 52 years; children; Rick (Wendy) Excell of Washington, UT. Ron (Kris) Excell of SI. George, UT. June (John) DeVito of Coto De Caza. CA; grandchildren. Tennille Excell, Corey (Anna) Davis. Tiffany Davis. Stefanie Lyon (Mike) Saxton. Colby & Kimberly Lyon. Haley Jo (Skyler) Lee. Cory (Cayden) Saxton. and Danny Excell; great grandchildren. Cody Davis. Ryllee and Taelee Davis. and Jocilyn Saxlon. He was loved by each and will be missed dearly.
