Show 112. XVII "Can you believe we're going to a party that starts at ten P.M. ?" Stephanie asked for about the third time, wiping off her side of the windshield. She loved going tubing anytime, but late at night with all JD's friends would be more fun than ever. "Chic doesn't do anything half-way," JD said, intent on following the cow trail that led into Dougan's pasture. "You're in the big league tonight, Steph. You and Carol Sue with a bunch of mouldy old seniors." "Well, I know why I_ was invited." Stephanie hinted at dark motives. "Why?" "Because Chic had to invite Carol Sue so her dad would let us use their place . . ." "So?" "So who's her best friend? One single sophomore girl at an all night senior bust? We figured it out right away, of course-but we don't care!" She pulled on a tweedy looking stocking cap that matched her gloves. "You know something?" Stephanie turned to JD.
