Show 3 a part in Korean papermaking. The Korean papers have always had thei own special characteristics, due largely to the moulds on which they wer formed and the technique used in the preparation of the materials. Whe the Japanese entered Korea during the first part of the present century the Koreans were making paper in their own manner, which, althoug primitive, answered their special requirements. I was my privilege tovi the papermaking hamlet of Ompei in central Kore where I was able to seelhc papermakers at their work. They generousl presented to me for my collection one of the moulds they had been usin during my stay in the village.
