LINCOLN, TREASURER.

Dictated

Sept. 14, 1904.

Prof. George B. Sweazey,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Sir:-

Kindly let me know who has the scholarship correspondence for the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute. We have a number of contributing societies on our books and promise them three letters a year from the school, if they are supporting a full or half scholarship. Recently letters have come stating that societies have not heard anything directly from the school and taking exception to our unfulfilled pledge.

We prefer at this end of the line to have two letters sent out directly from the school and one general letter written and sent to this office which we will have duplicated and send out to correspondence, thus making the three for the year. The letter sent to us we keep in stock and can make use of it very frequently in securing other scholarships or interesting our contributers [sic] in the school.

After the Collegiate Institute gets well under way, say about the first of October - will you have prepared and sent to me such a general letter, later I will be making up the scholarship lists for each school and when they are completed will send you that for the Collegiate Institute.

Hoping that you will greatly enjoy your new work in the Institute and that the school will be very prosperous both financially and spiritually under your management, and with all good wishes for its success, I am,

Very truly your, V.M.
