Sweazey. <br> Salt Lake Collegiate Institute, <br> Salt Lake City, Utah. <br><br> My dear Mr. Sweazey: - <br><br> Your letter to Dr. McAfee came this morning and before its arrival we were in receipt of the telegram announcing that afterall Miss Jones declined to accept a position in the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute. We are sorry that she has deferred so long in giving us the answer, but approve of your recommendation in regard to Miss Paden and I am writing her at once as Dr. McAfee has started for Alaska. <br><br> The salary to be paid Miss Paden will be $500, which is the amount that was to have been given to Miss Jones. I am writing Miss Paden, as I said before, and trust that it can adjusted without difficulty. <br><br> Trusting that you may enjoy your work at Salt Lake Collegiate Institute the coming year and that it may be greatly prospered, I am, <br><br> Very sincerely yours, <br><br> Ella A.
