Show protesting against the rejection of Miss Jones, and there is a possibility that they may reconsider their action in her case. But before I write to either Miss Paden or the Board I want to hear from you, for you are one of those first concerned. It may be that you have some one in mind for the position with whom you would like to work, I should like to be in a position to recommend or approve of Miss Paden's appointment to the position here, not only from what I know of her ability as a teacher and a Christian worker; but because I know that you are acquainted with and understand the whole matter.

So I write to you, even while the case of Miss Jones is still before us, that you may know what is being done. Will you not kindly write to me as soon as you can? We shall know definitely concerning Miss Jones in a few days. Write as frankly as you choose, as what you say will not be made public.

Hoping that you are having a most pleasant vacation, and a good rest,

Sincerely yours,
[Signature is missing.]

#426 South Eighth East St.,
Salt Lake City.

|
