Show THE CHURCH REVIEW.

Territorial News.
BAPTIST, OGDEN.
Sister Lilly Severn is visiting at Pocatello and vicinity. She and Lottie will soon be home.
Bro. Chamberlain is at home again. We have not had time to talk with him but are glad to see him and hope he found success in his trip.
The Christian Endeavor convention has the right of way this week and here is our [pointed finger] for a royal welcome. The local union of B. Y. P. U., Epworth League and Christian Endeavor societies will meet with the Christian society this evening. The meetings of the local union have been well attended the last four Sabbaths and we expect high tide will be reached in the convention. After that we shall hope to see our B. Y. P. U. back again in the lecture room, and down to hard work. Fraternity is greatly to be desired Conventions give breadth of view and inspire to new methods and new activities to the individual and local societies.

PRESBYTERIAN, OGDEN.
Mrs. Kate M. Walker has removed from corner of 32nd and Quincy to her home at 2046 Adams Avenue.
The annual praise service last Sunday evening was an exceedingly interesting one, well attended, and did great credit to the "Missionary Society," who had entire charge of it. The offering amounted to $16.47, which has been equally divided between Home and Foreign Missions.
The ladies in connection with our 29th street mission, now called the Central Park Mission, have organized a Ladies Aid Society, and are now at work in a most enthusiastic way.

METHODIST, OGDEN.
JUNIOR LEAGUE.-There will be a cabinet meeting of the newly elected officers next Monday at 4 p. m., in the parsonage.
The new officers are taking up the work willingly and doing much to encourage the superintendent. Let each one resolve to be ready at all times to respond to any call the leader may give. Just a few words go far to help brighten a meeting and rejoice the leader's heart.
The new social for the Juniors will be "A Display of Doll clothes." This will include any thing for a doll's use, made by the children. Boys are to do wood work, girls the needle work. It will be novel and quite interesting.
All appreciate being in the auditorium again. But there is some additional expense. Will not all the members and friends kindly be as liberal as they can in helping to meet the expenses of the church. Conference year will soon close and it is right that all claims be promptly met.

CONGREGATIONAL, OGDEN.
A year or two ago, the New West Education Commission and the College and Education Society were united into one organization to be known as the Congregational Education Society. Our collection for this society, taken Sunday before last, was turned over to Salt Lake College, because the college is a beneficiary of that society and is authorized to take such collections in this territory. In view both of what the New West has done for us and our children and also of what the college promises to do, there was reason to expect a generous contribution. Of the seventy-nine members on our benevolent list, but nineteen contributed. The amount was $10.25.
The Union C. E. meeting tonight is to be held in the City Hall, up stairs, subject, "Christ's Yoke."

METHODIST, PROVO.
The people of Provo believe in "government of the people, for the people and by the people."
Thirteen hundred citizens in mass meeting assembled to petition the constitutional convention to submit to the people, the question of prohibition as a separate article with the constitution. Nearly four hundred legal voters in the city joined in the petition.
Mrs. (Rev.) C. McCoard, of Mt. Pleasant, is visiting her parents for a few days.
Wm. McCoard left the city last Monday, on business in the north of the territory.
"I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him and they will keep the way of the Lord." Can that be said of you, to whom God has given children?

CONGREGATIONAL, PROVO.
Next week will be the spring vacation at Proctor Academy. A little rest will be grateful to both teachers and scholars. The term closed pleasantly with an interesting school exhibition on Friday evening.
Last Sunday, Supt. Hawkes preached in place of the pastor, who was absent in Salt Lake City helping Bro. Nutting in some special meetings. We are always glad to see and hear Bro. Hawkes.
Tonight, continuing the illustrated lectures upon the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, the subject will be: "Christ's interview with Nicodemus." Don't miss these lectures and pray for God's blessing upon them.
The Sophoclean Literary Society was rather poorly attended at the meeting. This was a mistake. Those who heard Mr. Beasley's second lecture on astronomy were much pleased with it, and were sorry it did not have a larger hearing.

|
