THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> LIBERTY PARK M. E. <br> Miss Alice Macleod was taken into the church on probation March 22. <br> The boys and girls are doing finely under Major Robinson's care and would do much better if they were more regular in their attendance. <br> The committee on Sunday school books, chose "Finest of the Wheat No. 2." How many of the scholars will be entitled to one of them June 26? <br> Last Sunday evening the Epworth League decided to begin a series of monthly social entertainments, on the first Thursday of each month. The first one occurs Thursday evening April 4. Let every member of the League and all the sympathizing members of the church be present. This is a good move in the right direction. <br> Bro. Gertz's have moved in the house formerly occupied by Father Huffman's folks. <br> A dime social will be given Thursday evening April 18, at the residence of Mrs. H. W. Parker. Everybody attend and take all the children. <br><br> ILIFF M. E. <br> The storms and outside attractions have interfered with the success of our meetings during the past week, but good has been accomplished. The meetings have been most helpful to the church and several conversions have abundantly rewarded the progress of the pastor and members. Doubtless more would have been converted if all the members of the church had made the revival the main business for the time, but those who have done their best-and there are many-have certainly been blessed themselves, and have done an incalculable amount of good for the church, and the cause of Christ. <br><br> FIRST BAPTIST. <br> The social and tea at Mrs. Corum's on Thursday called out a fine company notwithstanding the threatened storm. The next church social will be held next week, either in the church or the kindergarten room, for the purpose of getting still better acquainted with each other. Let every member of the church regard this as a previous engagement. There is a field here to which we have not been giving proper attention. Of course a gathering of this kind will not have any admission fees or collection plates connected with it. <br> The Juniors presented a choice and well rendered program at their Monday evening entertainment. The time is at hand when it is not necessary for us to go abroad to make up a delightful program. <br> We are glad to welcome Bro. Meatz back again to his old place after an extended absence. <br> Our aged Sister English is prostrated with bronchitis and [is] very feeble, at her home No 861 Brigham street. <br><br> EAST SIDE BAPTIST. <br> The special meetings will continue each evening of this week except Saturday. The closing service of last week Friday evening was the best of all. Mr. and Mrs. Lepperd will continue to sing for us and in every way help the meeting. A cordial invitation is extended to all Christians and Christian churches of the city to come and enjoy the blessing with us. The invitation is to all people. <br> Some of our people will go to the C. E. convention this week, and we hope they will return with a blessing for the meetings. <br> Mr. Clarence Crandall has gone to his home at Ogden for a ten days vacation. <br><br> CENTRAL CHRISTIAN. <br> The Ladies Aid Society have decided to have their sale of spring bonnets, hats and aprons on Friday and Saturday, April 5th and 6th in the parlors of the church. Sale begins at 4 p. m. each day. Luncheon will be served on Friday from 6 to 8 p. m. Price twenty-five cents. Come and bring your friends. <br> It is necessary for the brethren to give more attention to the payment of their pledges to the support of the church. They are getting far behind with the pastor's salary. He and his family must be enabled to live. This matter should receive immediate attention. Don't wait until it may interfere with the meetings. <br> The sermon tonight will be upon "Christian Science." We ask a careful consideration of this subject. It is more important than the first sermon which received such marked attention. <br> Let every lady who needs a nice new apron, a good sun bonnet or an outing hat be sure to come to the sale on Friday and Saturday and purchase off our Ladies Aid Society, and don't forget to get your lunch of them also. <br> There is no doubt but that the proposed meeting is the greatest and most important effort we have as yet undertaken. It must be made a great success. Work and prayer will make it such. <br> On next Lord's day evening, April 7th, the subject of discourse will be, "Is the gospel of Christian Science the same gospel the Apostles preached?" This we must know, for our position as a religious people binds us to preach just as did the Apostles. <br> See how many people you can invite to attend our meeting. Begin now, and continue to remind them of it until, they are regular attendants. Don't be ashamed to let them know you want them to come, and even to unite with our church. They will be pleased with the preaching and singing. <br><br>
