Show 5 He has nearly all the Wa rd business to do during the last six or eight months and does now,although the Bishop is at home. I think he is feeling a little better now than he has been,but the business is still unsettled . 1'/lany changes have taken place in the w ~rd since you left,& I pre-sume we have not informed you of them all , trusting to the newspapers (which you did not get) Srs .Paxman and Allen are both dead , and last Friday, Sr . P .Woodruff was burried . Br . 1Noodruff was not at the funeral,as he was supposed to be absent , and he had been for m.onths. 'Fortunately returned before she died . Bulah is running around with the commissioner's clerk , a gray headed drinking fellow who is reputed to have a wife and family in the East . ~ Mary Swartz is at Provo attending school . Pres. rraylor 's girls are all on thenunderground" & the Campbell girls are being married and moving out of the Ward , so it seems when there is any gathering , that it is not home but some strange place . Last evening your Father and I we:re at Sr. Campbelis -a.t the blessing of Frank Y-s bapy. It is a boy , named Frank qampbell . He is a very proud Papa ,& not a little concamted . Br . E.R.Young the great grandfather was present . He is entirelly broken down . His wife vras burried from our hall some three weeks since . Well my dear , I think this must suffice for thms time . With Vivky' s long letter ,you will get along till next month•& then I think Pa vvill write . If he gets to the Pen he will have more time . Grandpa is failing a little but still able to move around . He is still with Aunt ~ary. Her health is not very good . She gets her interest regularly,but none of the principle . Rhodes has lived in her house over a year now and paid only a very little rent & now brings her in debt with the bill of extras which he did on the house . I have kept her in flour ever since she moved and paid her something besddes for keeping Grandfather . Aunt r.. -ary ,Grandpa and Bess send love. E>tan says he will v~rite next time . He is too busy moving and getting into his new home .
