It was fun to see the patriotic Hypocrits squirm. It came the nearest to being a row that we have had for a long tim~. Oh the :ti'lorning following three thousand papers in the U.s. had a glowing account of the l-J.lormon treason. and it was telegraphed to the old world as well-~ver since then the Tiib has been trying to work up a fjght,but have not been able. The event has tended to bring about the cnisis that is sure to come some day. And still we eat and drink and are happy. You will find some very interesting reading on the subject in your papers of the present Mail. Chas has been having his out. He and Allie SmithiGeo Horne and the 2 Ship boys took Smiths big wagon and a weeks grub and started for East Canyon-after they got there the flies nearly _eat up their horses so they went on over through Parley's Park to Park City,on to Heber City down Provo Canyon to Provo called on friends and got home just one week from time of starting,a tired,sunburned,dirty looking set as ever you saw-They had trout and game every meal and I guess will be able to appreciate their homes for the balance of the summer. Times are most desperate dull here every few days some small concern goes under,and we are looking for a number more to follow suit in the fall. Orson Romney has sold his place & is building another on the 20th Ward S.H.Block. I have got to get a plane to move Bess too. Am negotiating for Turnblows lot next the Bishop. July 27.
