Ir it were not for your wife's letter, I fear your budget from home would be meager this time. I am at a loss to know the cause,but everyone seems so busy in these times that it is almost impossible to find time for all we desire to accomplish. Pa says he shall not be able to wri6e this time,and I know if you could see how much he has to do & how many duties and responsibilities are resting upon hiw and how entirely his time is occupied you would v1illingly excuse him when he does not vrrite,end rest assured that he always is glad to do so when he can possibly find time. You know what a great to indite a -letter. He always forgets about day unless ~ remind him of it,and then offtimes it is too late. · ~ ... c>N\ \_ and have just commenced school at the Salt Lake Stake Academy,and are too busy with their lessons tonight to think of such a thing. · aften speaks of ~Titing,but thinks she cannot find time,but hopes you will not attribute it to want of interest or kind feelings. The ch~ldren are quite a handful,besides them, she has her brother Tim boarding thefe. ne is a Normal\ ·t) from ~uab to the University and some two months since,vyrus had the misfortune to break his leg. Dr.Emma Atkin,who is practicing in Nephi, pretended to set it,but it did not heal and after laying on his back for six weeks,he came to the City with the expectation of going to the hospital,but they carried from the depot on a lounge a~ far as Louie's & there he is now,with his attendant. Dr.~enedict o~rated upon it and took out several bones,sawing out about two inches of the main bone ~many smaller pieces & then set it and it is now doing well,but he has not yet been off the lounge,so you see she bas plenty to do, though she has an excellent girl. ~rhe children are all rugged and welL |
