I said in .my last that I would have so Ttething more interesting probably, in my next,but I find 1 was a little out as the trials do not commence until the 28th of the present month • The first one on the docket is rl.B.Clawson and from him they are strung along every day until the whole batch is disposed or. Romney's comes off on the 3rd of October. He is making every preparation to go to the Pen. You will see by the papers that Bish. John Sharp entered a plea of guilty before the time set ~or his trial,& surrendered his manhood by making the promise the Court required. ~t made a great sensation all over town,and the outsiders tried to make all the Capital out of it they could. I will get some weeklies and send with this and see if they will not reach you, by which you will be able to ~urm a pretty good idea as to how matters stand. I am still unmolested, and a great many people remark about it and wonder at it. I have started on & expect to get it ready this fall if the wa~ther holds good. have just got the joist on ready for the brick.
