Show DELLA M. PETTY PRI 2 2 DEL: Really. My dad and mom had a lot of good advic . I g t mad at my husband and I was telling my mother about it. And she said W 11 lla you're not perfect either." And that's the kind of response I got from my moth r. nd I thought, Well, I guess I'm not (laughs). BEC: Thanks for the sympathy (laughs). DEL: You're not perfect either. I'll tell you, I really wished everybody had the chance to live the kind of life I have had, because I have had wonderful parents, wonderful brothers and sisters, lot of good friends and lot of good jobs and I've done an awful lot of volunteer work, because when my husband got diabetes I volunteered for the diabetes treatment center so I could learn more about it. And when he had a heart attack I volunteered for the Heart Association. And then I worked for Pennies-by-the-Inch, and worked as a volunteer for Cancer, when he got cancer, I worked for the Cancer Society Down in St. George I used to work for the Share and Care, and collect for the homeless. Also, I used to visit the nursing homes a lot because my dad had been in a nursing home for a while, and Walt's mother, after they got bad, so I used to go work in the nursing home and read to people or do odds and ends so I could visit, so they'd have somebody to visit. You've got to give back for what you've had some way or another. END OF SIDE A DEL: Now what do you want to know? You ask me a question and then I'll answer it because I can't think now. BEC: life. I do want to say that it sounds like you've been fairly healthy in your 24 |
