THE CHURCH REVIEW. <br><br> SECOND M. E. CHURCH. <br> The regular monthly business meeting of the Ladies' Aid, will meet at Mrs. Raybould's, corner of Fourth East and York street, Thursday, April 4th. It is important that all the ladies be present. The Bazaar work will be completed this week. The committees will be busy putting everything in readiness for the same. <br> Everybody is expecting a grand time at the Bazaar Thursday, April 11th. Now is the time to purchase your tickets, ten for one dollar. Buy a dollar's worth and help out the ladies. You don't know when you will have another opportunity to help the church. <br> Eighty-six seats have been taken. They cost us ten dollars more than we expected. Subscriptions to this fund will still be received. <br> We are still hoping to be able to dedicate without making an appeal for money, but the finishing up has taken and is taking more means than we anticipated. <br> Seven persons raised their hand for prayers at the Infirmary last Sunday and there are some hopeful conversions there. Services every Sunday at 3 p. m. The Superintendent says since our meetings began, there is a very different spirit in the Home and they have been a very great assistance to him in the management. The effects have been so beneficial he hopes the services will continue. Mrs. G. C. Betz will lead today. <br> Three new seekers were at the altar Sunday night. There are many more who should seek the Lord before they sink into hopeless indifference. They may feel more comfortable as conviction weakens, but that is a thing which should give alarm. To become comfortable after conviction is a paralysis preceding death. Trifle not with the Holy Spirit. <br> Ladies prayer meeting, Friday at Mrs. Allison's, 3 p. m. Cottage meeting, Tuesday evening at Mrs. Kingsberry's. <br> J. Remember that the influence of the mass of makers and agents is exerted against the leading article of its kind, and that inducements other than the intrinsic merits of the goods themselves are freely used to force the rule of a cheaper line.
