Show PART IV METHODOLOGY AND ASSUMPTIONS The quantity of water supplied by self-supplied manufacturing, governmental and commercial systems was determined by the following equation: S = T + RE-M-Z-L Where: S = Self-supplied manufacturing, governmental and commercial withdrawal quantity. T = Total subregion withdrawal requirement without reservoir evaporation. RE - Reservoir evaporation. M = Municipal withdrawal quantity. Z = Rural-domestic withdrawal quantity. L = Livestock withdrawal quantity. For example, in the Upper Main Stem Subregion in 1965: T = 45,600 acre-feet (a.f.) RE = 1,100 a.f. M = 24,800 a.f. Z = 2,100 a.f. L = 11,200 a.f. Therefore: S = 8,600 a.f. The various systems collected their supplies from groundwater and surface water sources. The proportionate quantity of water obtained from each source by each system was developed only for the base-year 1965. The percentages shown in Table 34 were used. 54 |
