Here follows the Manner of conftituting N E W LODGE, according to the ancient Ufagesof M A S O N S - ANew Lod^e, for avoiding many Irregularities, fhoiiH be folemnly constituted by the Grand-Mafter, with his Deputy and Wardens ; or in the Grand-Mailer's Abfence the Deputy fhall a a for his Worfiip, • and Ihall chuie fome Mafter of a Lodge to aflift him 5 or in caie the Deputy is abient, the Grand-Mafter fhall call forth fome Mafter of a Lodge to a a as Deputy pro tempore. The Candidates, or the new Mafter and » ardens, be-inP'yct among the Fellow-Craft, the Grand-Mailer ihall ask his Deputy if he has examined them, and finds the Candidate-Maftcr well skill'd in the noble Science and the Royal Art, and duly inftruaed in our Myftertes, &c. And the Deputy anfwering in the Affirmative, he fhall (by the Grand-Mafter's Order) take the Candidate from amonff his Fellows, and prefent him to the Grand-Mafter, laying, Right Worfiipful Grand-Mafter, the Brethren here defire to be form'd into a new Lodge, and < prefent this my worthy Brother to be their Mafter, whom I know to be of good Morals and great Skill, true and trufty, and a Lover of the .whole Fraternity, wherefo-tver difperfed over the Face of the Earth. . 1 |
