Show C 7i by Ballot, is, by Sicknefs, or other neceflary Occafion, abient from the Grand Feaft, he cannot be proclaimed the new Grand-Mafter, unlefs the old Grand-Mafter, or fome of the Mafters and Wardens of the Grand- Lodge, can vouch, upon the Honour of a Brother, that the laid Perfon,* fo nominated or choien, will readily accept of the laid Office; in which Cafe the eld Grand-lAafter fhall act as Proxy, and fhall nominate the Deputy and Wardens in his Name, and in his N a m e alio receive the ufual Honours, Homage, and Congratulation. . X X X V I I . Then the Grand-Mafter fhall allow any Brother, Fellow-Craft, or Apprentice to fpeak, directing his Difcourfe to his Worftup $ or to make any Motion for the Good of the Fraternity, which fhall be either immediately considered and finifhed, or elfe referr'd to the Consideration of the Grand-Lodge at their next Communication, ftated or^occafional. When that is over, XXXVIII. The Grand-Mafter or his Deputy, or fome Brother appointed by him, ihall harrangue all the Brethren, and give them good Advice: A n d lastly, after - fome other Tranfactions, that cannot be written in any Langnage, the Brethren may go away, or ftay longer, as they pleafe. X X X I X . Every Annual Grand-Lodge has an inherent Power and Authority to make new Regulations, or to alter thefe, for the real Benefit of this antient Fraternity. Provided always that the old L A N D - M A R K S be carefully preferved, arid that fuch Alterations aud new Regulations be propofed and agreed to at the third Quarterly Communication preceding the Annual Grand Feaft; and that they be offered alfo to the Pcrufal of all the Brethren before Dinner, in writing, even of the youngest Apprentice , the Approbation and Confent of the Majority of all the Brethren prefent being abfolute- Iy neceffary to make the fame binding and obligatory; which muft, after Dinner, and after the new Grand- Mafter is*inftall'd, be folcmnly defir'd 7 as it was defir'd |
