Decorations: Entering the Union building between the straddled legs of a twenty-five foot pirate girl, guests passed through halls lighted with soft blue lights and decorated with potted ferns, tall palm trees, and large parchment maps of the "Isle of Union" Depicting the shore of Treasure Island, the orchestra pit, banked with green moss, featured a massive gold treasure chest beached on the sand. A yellow moon shining over the dark outline of sharp mountain peaks and a deep blue sky were background for the pit. Sawed off barrels formed music racks for Milt Tag-gart's orchestra, garbed in traditional pirate costume. Panels around the sides of the dance floor pictured palm trees against shimmering water and a full moon. Lounges depicted a similar motif. (continued on page 234) Military Atom (?ltahm<in .
