G. McNiece, D.D. <br> 207, E. 2nd, South Street, <br> Salt Lake City, Utah. <br><br> Me dear Doctor: <br> Yours of November 15th is received, and I am glad to hear that Mr. Robert Walker and Mr. H. G. MacMillan have been added to the Board of Trustees. I hope that ultimately two or three Congregationalists can be added to the Board and that we will be able to purchase their Hammond Academy. It will make a good building for our medical and law departments. In negociating for the property, I think that they should let it go at the amount of money put in by their College Aid Society, or in other words, it is fair to repay the denominational money from abroad. Land or money contributed by citizens of Utah should not be counted in transferring the property. <br> General Eaton and I secured no pledges in Chicago; Dr. Pierson would do nothing for either of Presbyterian or Congregational institutions in Utah. Mrs. McCormick was in Europe. Still I think that we secured some information that will help us in the future. <br> [Continues on next page.] <br><br>
