Show Salt Lake <br> 26 Oct 95. <br><br> My dear Dr. Jackson <br> I have just come in from a talk with the men who are at work on the site. They seem to be within $10,000 of buying the 250 acres - the choice site - The owner has come down from $81000 to $75000 and they are standing at $65,000 <br> Dr. McNiece and Mr. McLain have done all they could to help the idea of 100 acres for the college, but the men who furnish the money are holding to the idea of giving the college out of the 250, only 50 acres, but one of them speaks of furnishing the other 50 out of a lot near(?)* but we shall see <br><br> Sincerely yours <br> (signed)** John Eaton <br><br> [Letter continues on next page.] <br><br><br> *parentheses and items contained within parentheses were all written in original document <br> **words and parentheses are written in original document but crossed out by author <br><br> |
