Show At Pittsburg I made an address in the East Liberty Church in behalf of the collegiate institute which I think will bring some money for the relief of that institution. If any of your people receive the Presbyterian Banner of Pittsburg, see notice of meeting in the edition of November 20th. I will try and procure and forward to you a paper. This reminds me to suggest that you carefully preserve in the** a* scrap-book all newspaper references to the college; that will be invaluable 25 years from now, if you or some of your teachers find** have not* time to attend to it, if you will save the clippings and forward them from time to time to me, I will keep the scrap-book for the college. General Eaton suggested that you were so hard up these hard times that the drayage of books from post office to academy was a hardship; if so, please keep an account and send me a bill for the same. It is not well to leave the books too long at the post office. Next month I will be able to send you half a dozen more boxes of books. Much obliged for the clipping concerning Miss Moore, also concerning college. I am glad to know that you are daily remembering the college cause in prayer. I hope to get time soon to issue a little circular to the Utah ministers and teachers, inviting them also to make it a matter of daily prayer. I think** have* no doubt, but that there is $50,000 for the college somewhere in the country, the point is to find it, and God will reveal it in answer to united prayer.

Very truly yours,
Sheldon Jackson*
General Agent of Education.

* handwritten inserts in original typewritten document
**typed in original document but crossed out by author

|

He then suggests that Mr. McNiece keep a scrapbook of all newspaper clippings referring to the college and that he pick up the books for the college at the post office.
