I feel that it is a special providence of God that we can secure the assistance of such a man in the formative period of our college. I know that you will find it a privilege to enjoy his company. You will find that Utah is not altogether an unknown section to him*, that he has quietly had a hand in influencing certain movements in Utah, years ago.
