Show d. Grand Mesa Project A contract for aerial topographic maps of the Electric Mountain Service Canal has been essentially completed. Foundation explorations at Cactus Park damsite (alternative for Gorsuch) have been completed. Plan formulation and water supply studies are in progress. Completion of a proposed feasibility report is scheduled for fiscal year 1968. e. Upper Gunnison Project Field work on land classification was completed last summer for all areas except the Cochetopa Creek area now being classified. Drainage investigations, plan formulation studies, engineering surveys, and water supply studies are in progress. Completion of a proposed feasibility report is scheduled for fiscal year 1969. f. Basalt Project Topographic maps for the Basalt conduit have been received from the contractor. The mapping was accomplished with funds made available in fiscal year 1966 by the State of Colorado. Land classification will be initiated in fiscal year 1967, a year earlier than previously programmed, with additional funds contributed by the State of Colorado. Full scale investigations are scheduled to be initiated in fiscal year 1968 provided funds are available. UTAH a. Central Utah Project (Ultimate Phase), Uintah Unit Feasibility investigations consisting of land classification studies, drainage investigations, and plan formulation studies are continuing. Foundation explorations at Harmston and Uintah damsites have been completed. Stabilization of upstream reservoirs is being considered in the Uintah Project plan to provide for greater fish and wildlife and recreation uses. Completion of a feasibility report is scheduled for fiscal year 1967. 3. UNDER RECONNAISSANCE INVESTIGATIONS UTAH a. Central Utah Project (Ultimate Phase), Ute Indian Unit Reconnaissance investigations are in progress on the Ute Indian Unit, a separate unit of the Ultimate Phase. This unit would develop 118 |
