UNDER FEASIBILITY INVESTIGATIONS COLORADO a. Yellow Jacket Project The plan presently under consideration for the Yellow Jacket Project would use White River water for development of lands only in the White River Basin. The project would also include a small portion of the lands in the Axial Basin in the vicinity of Milk Creek which would be served from surplus flows of Milk Creek with storage provided at Thornburgh Reservoir. The remaining Axial Basin lands would be included in the Juniper Project. The project would also develop a municipal and industrial water supply and provide recreation and fish and wildlife benefits. Completion of a proposed feasibility report is scheduled for fiscal year 1967. b. Battlement Mesa Project Feasibility designs and estimates have been completed on all project features. Preparation of the report draft and appendixes is in progress. Completion of a proposed feasibility report is scheduled for mid-fiscal year 1967. As presently proposed, the project includes Owens and Buzzard Creek Reservoirs of 25,250 and 13,850 acre-feet, respectively, on Buzzard Creek, and three project canals to serve 3,130 acres of supplemental service land and 6,340 acres of full service land and provide 3,000 acre-feet of municipal and industrial water. c. Bluestone Project Water supply studies, engineering surveys, agricultural economic studies, and preparation of the plan formulation appendix are in progress.
