Show __3__ lie below, or Easterly of, the bluff of the "Upper Mesa", and extending from "Black Point" on the North, to a place known as "Picacho" in the County of Imperial, California, on the South. That the means by which he intends to divert said water, are a dam, and a ditch or canal; the said ditch or canal to be 80 feet wide, more or less, on the bottom, and 100 feet wide, more or less, on the top, and 10 feet deep, below the surface of the river at the place of diversion, more or less, and of sufficient width and depth to give such ditch or canal sufficient capacity to carry the said amount of water which is hereby claimed; said dam to be of sufficient height, width and length to divert said amount of water from said River into said canal or ditch at said point of diversion; the said water to be conducted from said point of diversion by means of said canal or ditch, gravity flow, and by such ditches, flumes and aqueducts as may be necessary to conduct and convey said amount of water at all times to the place of intended use, on all of said lands capable of irrigation by gravity flow, and by such pumps, aqueducts, pipes and other means as may be necessary to conduct and convey such water to any and all of said lands as are not susceptible of irrigation from said point of intended diversion by gravity flow. That the undersigned appropriator, and his assigns, intend to convey said water from said intended point of diversion, through a canal now constructed, and such other canals as may be hereafter constructed, to the Northeasterly corner of "Olive Lake," and to convey said waters into said Lake, and that he, and they, intend to use said lake as a settling and storage basin therefor, |
